Giants rookie is slammed for 'tone deaf' tweet saying 'everyone makes mistakes'

A Giants rookie player was slammed for his 'tone deaf' tweet after he said 'everyone makes mistakes' following Henry Ruggs III's arrest after a high-speed car crash that killed a 23-year-old woman.

Kadarius Toney, 22, tweeted support for former Raiders player Henry Ruggs III, 22, who was arrested after allegedly driving drunk and causing a fatal crash in Las Vegas.

'We young…..everybody make mistakes….y’all lookin at the situation like “this or that” kuz it ain’t y’all…having so much too say....he know he messed up don’t drag em for it……that’s goofy to me….just pray for the families involved,' Toney tweeted on Wednesday.

Ruggs was 127 mph - at one point having hit speeds of up to 156 mph - with a blood alcohol content of 0.161 - twice the Nevada state limit - on Tuesday morning before crashing his Corvette into an SUV that burst into flames and killed Tina Tintor, 23, and her dog, according to prosecutors.

Twitter users spared no sympathy for Toney or Ruggs. Despite Toney turning the comments off on his tweet - a move some fans called 'cowardly' - the post was retweeted more than 6,000 times and fans had something to say.

'This dude really trying to pass off murdering someone with your car as a "whoopsies, my bad". GTFOH,' one Twitter user wrote.

Another wrote: 'Henry Ruggs III got in his car drunk out his mind, going 4 times the speed limit, and not only killed and woman, but devastated her family as well. You calling it a "mistake" like the n***a 8 years old and he stole a chocolate bar from the store. He took a whole LIFE away.'

Many slammed the football player for his grammar, while others asked how to delete someone else's tweet.

'What grade level of English is this? #proofread before you make a severely ignorant comment. It’s bad enough a woman dies from a reckless driver with a bac of twice the limit. Then you made it worse by talking like a 5 yo with your grammar. #wonderlick genius.'

Another was more concerned about ridding the world of the player's tweet, he wrote: 'How do I delete someone else’s tweet?'

Another just told Toney: 'Bro delete this.'
