A woman has filmed herself being kicked out of a restaurant for not having received a Covid vaccine, despite claiming to have a legitimate medical exemption certificate.
Alexandra Duffin posted the video to TikTok, saying she had been ejected from a restaurant in popular Lygon St in the inner-Melbourne suburb of Carlton.
'We just got kicked out of restaurant after we ordered,' she told her 44.9K followers.
'I don't think that's fair because we showed him the medical exemption, we showed him the proof and everything and it wasn't exempt so he kicked us out of the restaurant.'
In video taken inside the restaurant, Ms Duffin can be heard telling a staffer she has a medical certificate exempting her from receiving the Covid vaccine.
She reads out the certificate's term while telling the staff member she does not need to tell him why she has an exemption.
Ms Duffin said she did not wish to publicly 'shame' the restaurant involved in the incident.
It's discrimination, in my opinion, for getting thrown out like that,' TikTok influencer Alexandra Duffin said of the incident in which she was asked to leave a restaurant because of her unvaccinated status
