An Olympic gold medal opens many doors and, in Logan Martin's case, has helped smooth things over with the neighbours.
Martin was one of Australia's stars at the Tokyo Olympics, dominating his rivals as freestyle BMX made its Games debut.
But as the 27-year-old from Logan in south-east Queensland celebrated his command performance, he spoke in Tokyo about how his single-minded pursuit of Olympic success might have ruffled some local feathers.
Martin had built a scaled-down skate park in his backyard for training, at a cost of about $70,000, and that raised a few neighbours' eyebrows.
Three months after his Tokyo triumph, Martin says it's all good in the neighbourhood.
