Footy legend Johnathan Thurston has written an emotional and impassioned letter to a regional indigenous community pleading with them to get vaccinated against Covid.
Thurston, an Aboriginal NRL icon, penned the message to the Yarrabah community on Thursday begging them to up their incredibly low vaccination rates.
The area, just 50km east of Cairns, has a disastrously low rate of just 29.8 per cent vaccinated in an extremely vulnerable demographic - something Thurston said must change.
