His conviction is all four lawsuits was first publicized Monday morning in a tweet from New York Times writer Elizabeth Williamson. It is currently unclear how much in damages Jones and the other defendants will have to pay the families who filed the lawsuits. Last month, Jones was found liable for damages in three of the defamation lawsuits that stemmed from his statements about the Newtown, Connecticut, school shooting on December 14, 2012 when gunman Adam Lanza, 20, killed 20 first-graders and six educators. Lanza fatally shot his mother at their Newtown home before going to the school, and later killed himself as police arrived. The shooting was portrayed on Jones' Infowars show as a hoax involving 'crisis actors' aimed at increasing gun control. Jones has since acknowledged the school shooting did occur.
