A Northern California man interrupted his morning jog to rescue a stranger’s pets –including two dachshunds, a rabbit and a cat – from a burning home.
The man, identified by KSBW as Paul Murphy, was out running November 6 when he spotted smoke billowing from a Scotts Valley, California home.
The homeowners weren't home at the time, oblivious to the danger their animals were in, until Murphy used their Ring surveillance system to communicate with them.
‘I saw him running back and forth,’ homeowner Courtney Polito told WTHR 13. ‘So I answered it and he said, “Hello, do you see there's smoke coming out of the top of your house?”’
