A day after appearing in court to face contempt charges, Steve Bannon returned to hosting his podcast on Tuesday morning, launching an angry attack on the Biden administration for weaponizing the law and warning that 'MAGA punches back.'

Bannon, 67, is the first person to face criminal charges in the congressional probe into the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 as Trump supporters sought to overturn election results.

He handed himself in the FBI on Monday and appeared in court later in the day.

But on Tuesday morning he was broadcasting to supporters from a room at the Willard Hotel - reportedly the location of a January 'command center' where Trump allies gathered to discuss plans to subvert the 2020 election results.

'They don't know how to handle when MAGA punches back and MAGA is punching back,' he told listeners to his War Room podcast.

'Okay, we're not going to just sit here and take it any more ... the months and months and months and months and months of just the rhetoric and trying to weaponize the law and weaponize DOJ.

'We're not going to take it okay. We're going on offense.'

Bannon and his supporters have used his prosecution as fodder for their media machine, livestreaming the moment on Monday when he arrived to turn himself in to the FBI and using their podcast to suggest they are victims of a witch hunt.
