The redeveloped Sydney Fish Market will become a tourist drawcard to rival the Opera House according to NSW Premier Dominic Perrotet as he launched the start of the $750 million overhaul on Tuesday.
Mr Perrotet said the current site was already a 'wonderful tourist attraction' but that the run-down surrounds of the market in inner-city Pyrmont was 'sad' and requires rejuvenation.
'It needs a facelift and we've been saying this for a long time. It's sad here,' Mr Perrottet said.
