Surging Covid numbers in New South Wales has seen another 276 new cases reported overnight in the wake of relaxed restrictions in the state.
Thursday's figures are up substantially from the previous 248 reported on Wednesday and 173 on Tuesday, amid rising fears of a Christmas spike.
But health officials stress only 31 people are in intensive care with the disease throughout the entire state and no deaths, with vaccinations minimising Covid's impact.
NSW has now passed the 92 per cent fully vaccinated mark
