A New Jersey man accused of brutally beating his own daughter to death with a baseball bat has been found dead in an apparent suicide.
US marshals and local law enforcement were searching for Gregory Kelemen after he allegedly struck his daughter Katherine with the bat multiple times, resulting in her death.
He was facing a first-degree murder charge.
According to Camden County prosecutors, police found the 22-year-old clinging to life inside her bedroom in her parents' Voorhees home on Monday morning.
Katherine was rushed to hospital with blunt force trauma injuries. Despite doctors' best attempts she was declared her dead shortly afterwards.

Officers also found Kelemen's wife Sheri in the same room suffering from severe injuries.
After continuing to search, Voorhees Township Police on Tuesday confirmed that they had found Kelemen dead in the woods not far from the home.
He had died from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to reports.
In a statement, authorities said that Katherine's 57-year-old father attacked her and his wife with a baseball bat before fleeing their home.
Court papers show Sheri was sleeping and was 'awakened by her husband Gregory Kelemen, when he began striking her with the baseball bat', according to CBS Local.

At one point during the assault, the attacker cried out, 'I can't take it anymore,' according to the affidavit.
Sheri was able to call 911 with officers rushing to the scene.
The US Marshal service and local police immediately started a search, which took two days before Kelemen's body was discovered.
