Powerball has surged to a monster $80 million jackpot after no one snagged the division one prize for the fifth time in a row.
The prize is the equal-biggest jackpot on offer in the country this year, with one in four Australian adults expected to have an entry in next Thursday's lotto.
The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1332 on Thursday night were 21, 17, 16, 3, 22, 34 and 9, while the all-important Powerball number was 9.

About 500 tickets a minute were expected to be sold in the hour leading up to the draw for the colossal prize.
Although no player walked away with the $60 million this week, $33.4 million in prizes were won by Australians in divisions two to nine.
This included four division two winners who each scored $231, 561.65.
