Video has emerged on Tuesday of Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado suggesting Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota is a terrorist at another event she spoke at in September.

She also called two progressive lawmakers 'black-hearted' and said liberals wanted to turn her sons into women in her controversial remarks.

Boebert earned public outrage and calls to be stripped of her committee assignments just last week when she was caught on video making an Islamophobic joke about sharing an elevator with Omar when a Capitol police officer allegedly ran in with them.

'''Well, she doesn't have a backpack. We should be fine,''' Boebert recalled while addressing supporters during the holiday break.

She told a similar story in the clip from September, taken at a Staten Island, New York Conservative Party dinner, although this time she claimed to have been in the elevator with a member of her staff.

'One of my staffers, on his first day with me, got into an elevator in the Capitol. And in that elevator, we were joined by Ilhan Omar,' Boebert told her smartly-dressed audience.

'Well, it was just us three in there and I looked over and I said, "Well, lookey there, it's the Jihad Squad.'

Boebert smiled as the room broke into laughter and applause.

She continued, 'I do have to say she doesn't have a backpack, she wasn't dropping it and running so we're good.'

The footage of Boebert's remarks was posted on Facebook by a candidate for Staten Island Borough President on September 2.

Elsewhere in the video she said Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan were 'blac-hearted, evil women.'

She also blasted Democrats by saying she was raising her four sons to be 'men before get ahold of them and raise them to be women.'

It appears her fellow GOP Rep. Lee Zeldin of New York, who is leaving the House in 2022 to run for governor, was also in attendance.

Boebert's comments from last week sparked a new battle between Democrats and Republicans, with allies of the two lawmakers also stepping in.

GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday called her Republican House colleague Nancy Mace 'trash' for saying Boebert's earlier Omar suicide bomber joke was 'disgusting'.

Greene sparked an ugly clash on Twitter when she accused the South Carolina congresswoman of being pro-abortion, told her to 'hang with your real gal pals in the Jihad Squad' and  wrote 'your out of your league'.

Mace hit back by correcting the 'you're' spelling in Greene's tweet, called herself a 'pro-life fiscal conservative' and added: 'What I'm not is a religious bigot (or racist). You might want to try that over there in your little 'league''.

The back-and-forth over Boebert's comments played out after Mace on Sunday condemned 'racist tropes' and 'disgusting comments' on both sides of the aisle when Boebert compared Ilhan Omar to a suicide bomber.

That defense of a Democratic lawmaker did not sit well with Greene, who has clashed with lawmakers from both parties and had her committee assignments stripped after a House vote following her own incendiary comments.

'@NancyMace is the trash in the GOP Conference,' tweeted Greene.

'Never attacked by Democrats or RINO's (same thing) because she is not conservative, she's pro-abort. Mace you can back up off of @laurenboebert or just go hang with your real gal pals, the Jihad Squad. Your out of your league,' she wrote.

Mace responded immediately with a defense of herself – and a grammar correction for Greene.

'*you're,' she wrote – leading her response with Greene's error.

'And, while I'm correcting you, I'm a pro-life fiscal conservative who was attacked by the Left all weekend (as I often am) as I defied China while in Taiwan. What I'm not is a religious bigot (or racist). You might want to try that over there in your little 'league,' she wrote.

There was still another dark turn in the escalating fight. Mace retweeted reporter Eric Michael Garcia, who wrote that Green was calling Mace 'pro-abort' 'because Mace was raped in high school and as a result, wants exemptions for abortion bans for rape and incest, which many anti-abortion conservatives also support.'

Mace retweeted the comment, and recalled in her response: 'This was a devastating and life-changing traumatic event. I had no hope for the future, turned to drugs and alcohol, dropped out of school, and never thought I'd make it. Beyond disgusted.'

She wrote in yet another missive: 'Pretty sad when a member of your own conference chooses to tell lies. All in the name of grifting. That I am certain.'

The clash came amid pressure on House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to rein in Boebert for her attacks – just days after McCarthy and most of the conference stood by Rep. Paul Gosar for posting an anime video that portrayed him killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).

Mace, who returned form a congressional delegation to Taiwan, told CNN Sunday she now carries a gun 'because of the threats that I get from the fringes of both parties right now.'

'This has to stop,' Rep. Tom Reed (R-N.Y.) told CNN Monday, condemning Boebert's attacks.

'I ... condemn the kind of comments that were made by my colleague in Congress towards a fellow colleague on the other side of the aisle,' said Reed. 'This is a pox on all our houses.' He added: 'We have degraded to a point in the institution of Congress [to a] level of hate I've never felt before.'

Boebert on Monday claimed Ilhan Omar hung up on her during a telephone call to ease tensions after she joked about the Democratic lawmaker being a suicide bomber, and then went on to accuse her rival of being anti-American and a terrorist sympathizer.
