A furious Melbourne doctor has slammed anti-vaxxers and told them to do their part to keep other Australians safe after a double-vaccinated nurse died when she caught Covid-19 at work.
Altona North GP Mukesh Haikerwal, who worked tirelessly in the epicentre of Melbourne's Delta outbreak, took aim at anti-vaxxers for refusing to get the jab.
'If you do vaccinate you reduce the disease burden and those people are at home and doing well,' he told the Today show on Wednesday.

Double-jabbed Angliss Hospital nurse Gillian Dempsey died after a battle with Covid this week.
The mother-of-three died in the ICU at Box Hill Hospital and is understood to have caught the illness while at work.
