Acquitted Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse has revealed that he plans to destroy the AR-15 rifle he used to fatally shoot two men last year during a Black Lives Matter riot in Wisconsin

'That’s my rifle,' the teen said Tuesday during an appearance on the conservative podcast The Charlie Kirk Show, after host Charlie Kirk flashed a photo of Kenosha prosecutor Thomas Binger holding the now infamous firearm in court last month during Rittenhouse's trial for murder.

Rittenhouse, now 18, then told Kirk, 28, and right-wing journalist Jack Posobiec, 35, that the rifle is 'being destroyed right now.'

'We don’t want anything to do with that,' he added.

Rittenhouse was acquitted of five felony charges, including first-degree intentional homicide, following the August 2020 shooting, claiming during his trial in November that the killings were done in self-defense.

He and Kirk discussed Tuesday how Binger held the AR-15 Rittenhouse used to fatally shoot Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and injure Gaige Grosskreutz, during the violence in 2020.

Binger was heavily criticized for how he handled the firearm during a demonstration in court, placing his finger on the trigger - something deemed incredibly dangerous and unprofessional unless one fully intends to shoot.

During the hour-long interview, Rittenhouse aired a variety of grievances against Binger, which he said arose during the trial - starting with how the Wisconsin jurist handled the high-profile weapon.

On-air, Rittenhouse slammed the Kenosha assistant district attorney for placing his finger on the trigger in what he viewed as an unprofessional - and dangerous - manner during a courtroom demonstration.

'He was pointing the gun at the gallery, and I looked at my attorney,' Rittenhouse said, referring to one of the lawyers on his defense team, Corey Chirafisi.

'I said, "Corey, that's Gun Safety 101,"' the teen recalled. 'Loaded or unloaded, treat a gun like it's loaded.'

Kirk then questioned Rittenhouse further about the courtroom incident, showing the teen a photo of Binger brandishing the AR-15.

‘So Kyle, you’re sitting there,’ Kirk said during the discussion. ‘It’s closing arguments, right?'

‘Oh my god, yeah,’ Rittenhouse says.

‘You have attorney Binger pick up an AR-15, and just decide-’ Kirk then says, analyzing the photo of the prosecutor pointing the weapon - before suddenly blurting out: ‘You have better trigger posture than him, Kyle!’

‘What is he pointing at?’ Posobiec then rhetorically asks Rittenhouse and Kirk, astounded by Binger's brazen waving of the weapon in Wisconsin court.

Kirk then asks: ‘Is he threatening the jury?’

‘Pretty much,' Rittenhouse replies. 'He was pointing the gun at the gallery, and I looked at my attorney.‘

‘This was your gun, right?’ Kirk asks.

‘That’s my rifle - that we’re having destroyed right now,' Rittenhouse then reveals.

'We don’t want anything to do with that.’

Rittenhouse also explained he had been on the stand when Binger commented on his 'post-arrest silent [sic]'.

'I was like 'what the f***,' this is basic, middle school Constitution test stuff. I know this stuff, you don't comment on a defendant's post-arrest silence,' he said.
