The siblings were struck as they walked on a footpath to get ice cream in the north-western Sydney suburb. Mrs Abdallah, 37, has told The Australian Women's Weekly she is expecting a baby in March. Leila and Danny Abdallah are expecting another child nearly two years on from losing their daughters Sienna, 8, and Angelina, 12, as well as son Anthony, 13, in the Oatlands tragedy of February 2020 She said she was inspired by her eldest daughter Liana to keep trying for another child after suffering a miscarriage. 'We dare to dream again,' she told The Daily Telegraph. 'My children prayed they could have another brother or sister.' 'This is a new life, a new beginning for the kids, it has given them a new purpose in life.' Liana wants to be a mother figure to the new addition, saying all she wants for Christmas are clothes for the baby. Mr Abdallah said he and his wife made a conscious choice not to pass on their pain to their children and this remains in their minds daily. 'We don't want to bring them down. We want them to get married and flourish and have full lives and dream again. That is what this new baby means,' he said. He said they were still limited in their lives - such as being unable to go to a party where there is music, but are slowly learning to allow themselves to be happy again.
