Courageous mountain rescuers have been filmed battling intense winds and snow while rescuing a climber injured in an avalanche.
The Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team were called to help a climber with a lower leg injury who was stuck on the side of a Scottish mountain on Saturday.
Footage taken by the team shows rescuers, wearing bright yellow jackets, dragging a stretcher across the mountain.
Howling winds blow past the rescuers and hurl flurries of snow at them as their legs seem to sink into the deep snow.

The climber managed to haul himself toward the rescuers and was then taken to a ski area nearby.
