The Bureau of Meteorology predicts that large hailstones will strike some parts of the East Coast A huge stretch of New South Wales stretching from near the Queensland Border almost down to the Victoria border is in the firing line. Inverell in the state's north to Bega on the south coast and as far west as Orange is set to be blasted by high winds and giant hail. Coastal regions north of Wollongong may dodge the storms but Sydney's western surbrnbs are likely to be hit by the incoming thunderblitz.
