Two men pretending to be US Drug Enforcement Agency officers clad in 'police-style' vests robbed a group of three people at gunpoint at a Los Angeles gated home, as the city counted 110 'follow-home' robberies in mid-November.

Footage shows three people entering a home believed to be in the Fairfax area Thursday night; two men were dressed in black vests labeled 'police,' Fox reported.

The fake cops yell, 'DEA, put your hands up,' and one of them pulls out a handgun as they demand the victims open the front door.

'Open the f***king door,' the men repeat to the homeowner.

When the homeowner appears to struggle taking his keys out, the men begin punching him in the face before the keys drop and they snatch them.

The LA Police Department said that once the door was open, three more suspects came to help and stole the victims' belongings in the city's latest 'follow-home' robbery.

The LAPD formed the Follow Home Task Force after announcing it was currently investigating more than 110 robberies involving at least six different street gangs where the victims were followed home in mid-November.

The task force was formed in November 22 as crime has continued to run rampant in LA, with police reporting 7,542 robberies so far this year, nearly 4 per cent more than last year.

More than 732, or nearly 10 percent, took place last month.

The robbery at the gated home came two days before a pair of brazen robbers cornered a mother with her baby on the driveway of her mansion in Hancock Park as she waited for its electronic gates to close.

The unidentified woman is seen in the video walking into her driveway with her infant in a stroller.

The two robbers walk past the home, then turn around and walk inside before the electronic gates could close.

They then back the woman against the wall of her property, take a diaper bag off her back and grab a cooler from inside her stroller before fleeing in a car parked outside.

'Fearing for her and her child's safety, the victim complied' with the thieves' demands that she hand over her belongings,' the LAPD wrote in its Twitter post about the crime.
