A mullet-sporting teenager has left the hosts of The Today Show laughing after casually recalling his close encounter with a shark this week.
Jack Shaw, 15, was swimming with his friend Tiarna Athanasiou, 15, at Ocean Grove Beach, near Geelong on Monday evening, when a suspected bronze whaler shark attacked them.
He recalled the encounter on the Today Show and had a hilarious response to Sylvia Jeffreys's question about the attack.
How are you feeling this morning?,' she asked.
'Pulled up a little bit stiff. Felt like I got bit by a shark or something,' Shaw responded, leaving the TV host in stitches.
'We were out in the water, and then I heard some screaming; lo and behold, Tiarna had a shark attached to her leg. So that's when I figured it out,' the youngster said.
