A Long Island waitress has been hailed a hero after she was filmed confronting a customer she claimed leered at underage girls and used homophobic slurs. Sondra Albert squared up to the unnamed man at the Massapequa Diner in Long Island on Sunday, after witnesses claimed he tried giving his number out to 'underaged girls,' uttered 'loud' anti-lesbian slurs and called her a 'b****,' according to a TikToker who caught the interaction on camera - instead, she gave him a piece of her mind. 'Honestly, nobody wants to wait on you, we’re asking very nicely so please just leave,' waitress Albert warned the man around 11pm on Saturday in one of two videos on the platform, which have accrued nearly 6 million views collectively as of Tuesday. 'You’re not going to call me a b****, you’re not going to sit near my boss’ wife, you’re not going to call people a lesbian — you sure as hell ain’t going to look at underage girls,' said Albert in her broad New York accent. 'Honestly, nobody wants to wait on you, we’re asking very nicely so please just leave,' waitress Sondra Albert warned the unnamed man in one of two videos on the platform, which have accrued nearly 6 million views collectively as of Tuesday The altercation took place at the Massapequa Diner on Long Island around 11pm on Saturday After he allegedly asked the high schoolers to take his phone number, poster Louis Cozzolino told the New York Post of the events leading up to the video, the alleged pervert took off on a sexist, homophobic tirade. 'He was being repeatedly rude, calling her a b****' said Cozzolino, 21. 'Sondra is the nicest person ever and for her to get like that, I knew the guy was a p****.' The then-subdued man weakly defended himself to the fed-up waitress: 'I don't want to look at underage girls,' he replied, his hands outspread. 'You're a pedophile and a freak and you deserve to be locked up in Bellevue. And that's all I gotta say and I'm asking you nicely,' the waitress shot back. 'You're a pedophile and a freak and you deserve to be locked up in Bellevue. And that's all I gotta say and I'm asking you nicely,' Albert told the man when he weakly defended himself But when the man refused to get up from his table, where he sat alone, Albert stopped asking nicely: 'I’ll kick your a** - you don’t frighten me for one minute,' she seethed. 'The way you speak about people who are lesbians and young children.' When the man inaudibly tried to defend himself again, Albert told him he was 'frigging full of s***.' 'Tell it to somebody who cares, you're not wanted here,' she yelled. 'You're not wanted here and all these kids will back me up,' she said, gesturing toward Cozzolino's table. When the man accused the waitress of refusing to serve him 'for no reason' two weeks prior, Albert wasn't having it: 'I didn't want to serve you for no reason? Did you take a good look in the mirror?' she asked, incredulous. The TikToker and his friends cheered at their table as she strutted away. Cozzolino told the Post that the man stood his ground, remaining stubbornly at his table even after the manager came to his table, up until police were called. Then, he deigned to leave before officers with the Nassau Police Department got to the diner. Albert was busy working a shift when DailyMail.com called her for comment on Tuesday evening. Commenters called her 'Sondra the Queen' and praised her actions. 'May her time off requests always be fulfilled and may her car always run safely,' wrote one TikTok user in the comments. 'Not all heroes wear capes, but a lot of them wear aprons,' another user wrote. Sondra said she does her job because of how much she 'cares for each and every one of you kids.' 'I would want the world to know that being gay is not a disease but a choice, and if people don't like it I could tell them where to stick it,' she said to Cozzolino's friend. 'Nobody should be judged by how they view other people. If they don't like somebody being gay they can keep their opinions to themselves.' Sondra said she does her job because of how much she 'cares for each and every one of you kids' It is unclear exactly what the patron said before Cozzolino began recording, but frequent customers of the Massapequa Diner told the New York Post that being kicked out or confronted by staff was not a common occurrence. 'I often go to the Massapequa Diner and I’ve never seen anybody get shouted at or thrown out,' said Matthew Lettieri, 27, of Lindenhurst. 'I was just there the Saturday after Thanksgiving for a late-night meal and they couldn’t have been more friendly, even to all the inebriated customers who came in after a long night out.' Josh, a 24-year-old 'lifelong' diner at the establishment, told the Post that he had 'never seen someone get kicked out of there, let alone shouted at by staff.'
