Another twist has unfolded in the mysterious kidnapping of former Test cricketer Stuart MacGill as a man wanted by police was dramatically arrested.
The man, 28, known as 'Sunny', was travelling westbound in a silver Camry when he was pulled over, pinned to the ground and handcuffed by police on the Sydney Westlink on Wednesday.
Detectives found and seized illicit drugs following a search of his vehicle and escorted him to Newtown Police Station, where he is assisting with inquiries.
The man has not been charged over MacGill's alleged kidnapping but is expected to be charged over the drug matters and front court on Thursday.
