Alec Baldwin looked bedraggled and exhausted, with pillowy bags under his eyes and a day-old grey stubble on his chin, when he stepped out in New York City on Wednesday to have breakfast with a friend, two days after being filmed clashing with a reporter outside Woody Allen's home.

Baldwin, 63, appeared careworn and walked with a slight stoop as he met up with a mustachioed male companion sporting a man-bun for coffee in the Greenwich Village section of Manhattan.

The one-time Hollywood leading man donned in a dark-colored suit jacket, mismatched rumpled pants, an untucked blue button-down shirt and a black scarf coiled nonchalantly around his neck. Despite the morning chill, he carried his coat in his hands.

It was Baldwin's first public appearance since Monday night, when he was seen on video lunging at a tabloid reporter with an umbrella in hand outside Allen's Upper East Side townhouse.

New York Post's Jon Levine attempted to quiz the actor about his recent that he did not pull the trigger and fire the shot that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during the filming of his low-budget Western, Rust, in October.

Baldwin refused to engage, and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, repeatedly asked the journalist to leave and 'please go away.'

When Levine would not stop asking questions about the shooting, Alec charged at him while grasping his umbrella and yelling that he was not allowed to be on someone's private property.

On Wednesday, a bedraggled-looking Baldwin seemed much more composed.

He and a friend were recorded having an animated chat over a cup of coffee at an outdoor dining space on University Place.
