It comes after the discovery of cases on a cruise ship docked at Hobart and infections linked to a Launceston music festival. Active infections on the island state have now risen to 2244 cases. Tasmania's previous daily case high of 466 was reported on Monday. Seventy-one cases are being cared for at community case management facilities and 275 are being managed at home. There are three people in hospital, one being treated specifically for COVID-19 and two positive patients for other conditions.
