An eight-year-old girl was playing in her family's front yard in Georgia over the weekend when a someone riding in a distinctive-looking Jeep opened fire on the home, killing the child and fatally injuring a horse that happened to be nearby.
The deadly drive-by shooting took place just before 7.30pm on Saturday in the 2000 block of 3rd Avenue in Augusta.
Family members and Richmond County Sheriff Richard Roundtree have identified the slain child as eight-year-old Arbrie Anthony.

Authorities say suspects fired a barrage of bullets, killing Arbrie and also fatally wounding a horse that happened to be nearby
Cops are looking for this red-orange Jeep Compass Trailhawk in connection with the drive-by shooting
During a press conference on Monday, the sheriff told reporters that his investigators do not believe the shooting was a random act, but there is nothing to suggest that Arbrie was the gunman's intended target.
Roundtree also said he has not ruled out that the incident was gang-related.
'These are cowards,' he said of the suspects. 'No matter what your beef is, no matter what your intent is, when children are present, they get a pass. ... it's always been that way.'
According to the sheriff, Arbrie was petting horses standing near her yard when a reddish-orange, newer model Jeep Compass Trailhawk drove by, and one or two of its occupants fired 5-10 rounds.
Arbrie was shot in the head and was transported by her father to Augusta University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
