JPMorgan Chase CEO Jaime Dimon has said that he expects the best economic growth in decades this year, dismissing concerns about high inflation and labor shortages as overblown.
'I think that the table is set for a very strong economy,' Dimon told Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo in an interview that aired on Tuesday. 'That consumer has a lot of money, businesses have a lot of money, and they are spending it.'
'Confidence levels are going up,' said Dimon. 'Jobs are plentiful, wages are going up. It's pretty strong.'
'This will be one of the strongest economies we've ever seen in 2021, and 2022 will probably be pretty good, too,' he added.

'Obviously the fly in the ointment is going to be inflation,' Dimon acknowledged.
The consumer price index rose 6.8 percent for the 12 months ending November, the largest annual increase since June 1982.
Dimon said that it could take six to nine months for consumer loan growth to return to normal.
But he said the economy is strong and can cope with interest rates rising 1 percent.
