A man who was kidnapped two days ago has turned up at hospital battered and bruised, but alive.
Omar Elomar, 39, was torn from his home at Bankstown in Sydney's south-west and stuffed into a white SUV at about 7.30pm on Sunday and held to a $3 million ransom.
Mr Elomar arrived at Bankstown Hospital on Tuesday night with broken ribs and a black eye, and left when police sought to interview him.
He has not cooperated with attempts by detectives to speak to him about the ordeal.
