A mother and her partner have been charged with the murder of an 'intelligent and inquisitive' nine-year-old boy at a home in Worcestershire.
Alfie Steele was found in a critical condition at a house in Droitwich on February 18 last year before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he later died.
