The mascot for the Portland Pickles minor league baseball team got himself in quite the pickle after posting a suggestive selfie on the squad's official Twitter page that looked like a green cotton penis.
Dillon, the popular Pickles mascot, tweeted the picture Wednesday. It showed him seated, wearing the team's white jersey and flashing the top of his furry green finger, which the red-faced team quickly claimed was a thumbs-up sign.
However, the photo was cropped from the neck down, leaving little to the imagination.
The stunt appeared to be done on purpose since he tagged several Twitter accounts with suggestive names, including Manscaped, Steak-umm, Bush's Beans, Daniel Popper, Senator Scott Wiener, Oscar Meyer, Corn Nuts and Justin Dickmeyer.
Within minutes of the picture being posted, the team ended Dillon's publicized takeover of the Twitter page and called foul on the pickle prank.
'We have ended our mascot takeover,' the team tweeted. 'It's come to our attention that this photo can be misinterpreted as a disturbing image. Dillon would like to go on record and say that he was trying to give his fans a thumbs up.'
There was no immediate word on whether the unidentified mascot will be fired by the Oregon team, which plays in the West Coast League.
Despite the team yanking the picture as fast as it could, the raunchy joke quickly went viral, amassing 42,900 likes, 6,000 retweets and hundreds of hilarious replies in less than 24 hours.
'You must be happy to see us,' the Inland Empire 66ers, another minor league team, posted on their official account with an image of a grinning Woody Woodpecker.
