A young Aussie has revealed how easily people can manipulate reporting rapid antigen tests (RAT) to get time off work and claim up to $750 from Centrelink.
The TikTok user, named Mitch, revealed he tested positive for Covid through a RAT and went to report it on the NSW Health website, as it is mandatory in the state.
While punching in his details on the website, the department never asked for proof of his RAT result, Mitch explained, which would allow people to fabricate positive infections.

'There's actually nothing stopping anyone just wanting seven days off work and registering they're positive when they're not actually positive,' he said.
Mitch says he received a text from NSW Health immediately after putting in his result, even though he provided no proof of his positive RAT.
'All you have to do is put in a few details, you don't have to post a picture or prove you've tested positive,'
