Tattooed footy star Jordan De Goey fights to avoid jail after New York nightclub brawl as 'video surveillance footage' emerges and judge issues a stern warning Collingwood AFL star Jordan De Goey could take plea deal in assault case
Collingwood star Jordan De Goey could be offered a plea deal in his United States assault case that could see him avoid a stint in jail.
The 25-year-old's AFL career with the Magpies hangs in the balance after a night out in New York in October resulted in him charged with assault.
De Goey appeared in New York court via videolink from Melbourne on Wednesday over assault and harassment charges.
The midfielder-forward was stood down by Collingwood soon after the alleged incident at a Halloween-themed party at PHD Rooftop Lounge on October 30.
An earlier charge of forcible touching was dropped only days after his arrest.
Collingwood previously released a statement confirming De Goey was stood down from all club duties.
