A Covid patient has drawn both fury, kindness and a literary reference after leaving a note on their car windscreen begging rangers not to leave them a parking ticket.

If they are correctly following the seven-day mandatory isolation period, the car, parked near the University of Melbourne in the city centre, will need to draw a lot of sympathy from parking officers.

'Please no ticket. I have Covid,' the notes starts, followed by a sad face drawing.

To prove they did in fact have the virus, the person, who may be a university student, also displayed a rapid antigen test with its positive reading visible.
