The vehicle then fled the scene. Traffic patrol and PolAir were able to spot the vehicle travelling north on the M1 motorway before stopping it in the Newcastle suburb of Beresfield at about 2.20pm. Two women - one of whom is known to the girl - and two men were arrested and taken to a local police station. The girl was located in the vehicle uninjured, and police have made arrangements to reunite her with her father.
