Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced 9,546 new Covid cases and 11 deaths but said hospitalisations from the latest outbreak were lower than expected.
The new numbers follow 10,212 new Covid infections and 13 deaths announced in the state yesterday.
Chief Health Officer Dr John Gerrard said all of the 11 fatalities were over 50 years of age, including one person in their 50s, one in their 60s, two in their 70s, three in their 80s and four in their 90s.
Four
