A man filmed driving at 80mph in a 40mph zone in his BMW and crashing into a woman travelling in the opposite direction has been jailed for more than two years.
Geoffrey Hill, 48, of Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire pleaded guilty to two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving at Amersham Crown Court.
The court was shown footage of Hill's car speeding in the moments before the crash, ending in the high speed impact, leaving a 60-year-old woman with a broken ankle and her passenger with a fractured spine.
Police used several CCTV cameras to track Geoffrey Hill's BMW as it drove at speeds up up to 80mph in a 40mph zone until the moment of impact
