A seemingly innocent photo of three people taking a ride on a jet ski has angered water safety officials.
The trio had decided to take the vehicle out for a spin on the water off the Gold Coast on Australia Day.
Maritime Safety Queensland officers immediately noticed one of the riders was in serious danger.
Officers intervened before stopping the jet ski, reprimanding the riders and taking a photograph of the trio - to warn water-sports lovers to avoid making the same mistake in the future.
