The 24-year-old was found critically injured in western Sydney on Thursday by emergency responders called out for a welfare check. NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived at a home in Fairfield East about 8.30pm where they performed CPR on the 24-year-old before she was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition. The home is now being treated as a crime scene and will be examined by specialist officers. A 27-year-old man was arrested a short time later in the same suburb and taken to Fairfield Police Station. He was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic) and was issued with two outstanding warrants. He was refused bail and is due in Fairfield Local Court on Friday. Police say their investigation into how the woman sustained her injuries is underway. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
