Hers may not have been the most prominent name in this week’s ministerial mini-reshuffle by Boris Johnson.

It turns out, however, that Joy Morrissey – appointed by the Prime Minister as his eyes and ears on the Tory backbenches – has a rather colourful past.

The American-born former actress starred in low-budget films on the other side of the Atlantic before she was elected as an MP in Buckinghamshire.

One role included a racy bedroom scene in which her male co-star instructs her to ‘ride me like a donkey’.

Mrs Morrissey appeared as the female lead in the 90-minute movie titled Geek Mythology under the stage name Joy Boden.
