Scott Morrison has confirmed he cut himself while making a chicken curry for his family after being spotted with a bandage around his thumb.
The Prime Minister had copped criticism from Australians after posting a picture of his family curry night where it appeared the chicken served was still raw.
He was later seen with a cut on his thumb while at a press conference and on Wednesday it was wrapped in a band aid.
When questioned by 2GB's Ben Fordham where the injury came from Mr Morrison laughed and said: 'Chopping onions on the weekend when I was cooking a curry. That's how it happened'.
He also stressed, once again, that the chicken was perfectly safe to eat.

'I totally cooked the chicken properly. It was in the pan for about 45 minutes, it was a classic chicken korma. And I can tell you the other one was eggplant and okra, a vegetarian curry,' Mr Morrison said, adding his family even went back for seconds.
