A preschool where a toddler was left inside a bus for up to six hours has been trolled online with furious parents vowing to unenroll their children.

Three-year-old Neveah Austin is fighting for life in hospital after she was found locked inside a vehicle outside the Le Smileys Early Learning Centre at Gracemere, near Rockhampton in QLD, at about 3pm on Wednesday.

Investigators say the little girl was inside the scorching-hot van for about six hours while temperatures outside the vehicle soared to 29 degrees.

The early learning centre turned its Facebook comments off on Thursday morning following a flurry of angry comments and questions from stunned parents who demanded to know how staff didn't notice Neveah was missing.

With no where else to turn, many took to Google to vent their frustration and give the daycare one-star ratings.

'Terrible place, I have just withdrawn my child from that daycare centre. 0 stars,' one man said.

Another angry parent wrote: 'I'd give this place zero stars but unfortunately that wasn't an option.'

'My daughter attends this daycare not for much longer though I'll make sure of it how can you leave a child on the bus for six hours and not even notice.

'That poor little girl I hope she pulls through my love and thoughts go out to her family and wish for a miracle.'

An early learning teacher said staff should have done a sweep of the bus to ensure no children were left behind.

'A sweep of the bus should have been done, head check for numbers and a roll call should have taken place,' she wrote.
