A Labour councillor standing for re-election tomorrow who allegedly shared an article that denied the Holocaust, said 'Hitler was right' and called Anne Frank a 'bisexual degenerate' has been suspended from the party.
Belgica Guaña, who is standing in the London borough of Newham, shared the piece entitled 'The Holocaust Hoax and the Jewish Promotion of Perversity' in February 2016, the Jewish Chronicle reported.
A Labour spokesman has told MailOnline that Guaña is no longer a candidate endorsed by the party. It is understood' that she is administratively suspended, pending investigation.
Guaña appears on the ballot as a Labour candidate because she submitted her nomination forms to stand in the council election before she was suspended.
A spokesperson said: 'The Labour Party takes all complaints seriously. They are fully investigated in line with our rules and procedures, and any appropriate action is taken.'
