A suburban stoush has broken out between furious neighbours, with one calling the other's building plan 'ugly', 'characterless' and a 'ghetto' development.
Mitcham council in South Australia will adjudicate on the planning proposal in the leafy Adelaide suburb of Blackwood that is causing bad blood and hurt feelings.
Locals Matthew Ayres and Kym Butcher did not pull their punches in appealing to the council to stop the Garnet Avenue development.
'The proposed dwelling is a characterless imposing box, with no obvious redeeming features,' Mr Ayres said in a panel submission to the council.
