A private school graduate who developed an ice addiction and was stabbed by his own mum has made a cryptic revelation about their relationship six months after the incident.
Hugo Ball, now 24, urged his friends to 'treasure' their mums and 'make them proud' in a statement issued on Mother's Day.
'Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing women out there being the backbone of a family structure strong,' he wrote.
'Treasure her, you really have no idea what you've got until it's gone... Believe me'.

Ball, a former Scots student, returned home from a night out on November 21 last year, reportedly ranting about being 'involved in a murder'.
His mother, 56-year-old Samantha Palmer, pleaded guilty to stabbing her son during an altercation later that evening.
The court heard she was battling PTSD caused by repeated assaults and threats made by Ball in the months leading to the incident. She avoided jail time but was sentenced to a 17-month intensive correction order.
It would appear the relationship between Ball and Palmer remains rocky.
Ball then posted a second story, saying his mother stabbed him nine times in total, including a 12cm deep laceration just 2mm from his heart.

He said he wasn't looking for 'attention' or to 'gain followers' before bizarrely claiming he had been accused of using his story to attract women.
'Sorry to be quite literally shocked into having to say this on my page for sensitive readers. I'm not trying to gain followers and the girls that think is is my way of hitting on you and attention seeking play in f***ing traffic!' he posted
