A veteran civilian employee of the NYPD was shot and killed inside a Queens apartment building Monday, allegedly by her boyfriend, who police say also wounded her neighbor when she rushed in to help.
A manhunt is now underway for the gunman, 55, who fled the scene after both women were shot around 8:15 a.m. inside a third-floor residence on Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood, Queens. Neither the NYPD worker killed nor the woman injured have been named.
