An online hunt for relatives of a deceased US soldier has been launched after his military dog tag was found in a suburban backyard.
A Reddit user shared a photo of a United States military dog tag she found in her grandmother's garden in Ivanhoe, a suburb of Melbourne.
'US military dog tag found by my grandma in her Ivanhoe garden, dating back to WWII,' the user wrote.
The online sleuths quickly got to work decoding the dog tag and searching for evidence.
