Singer Guy Sebastian has shared how he 'headbutted' an intruder who had broken into his Maroubra home while his wife Jules was at home with their newborn son.

Under cross-examination at the embezzlement trial against his ex-manager, Titus Day, The Voice star gave a dramatic account on Tuesday about what happened after he rushed home from his recording studio.

'I had a brand new born, I was at the recording studio, had a call from my wife. A person was trying to get through the little boy's window.'

Sebastian said he raced home on his motorbike to find the intruder 'swinging on the gate' of his eastern Suburbs home.

'I grabbed him and held him while my wife was on the phone to the police. I chased after him, he started to leg it.'

Asked repeatedly by Dominic Toomey SC, for Day, if he 'headbutted' Sebastian said he hadn't but agreed that it was he'd told people afterwards.

'While I was holding him, he was elbowing, kicking, I've told people, yeah , that I knocked him out.

'I agree I've told people I headbutted him ...  not as an intentional headbutt. You're implying I headbutted him as an intentional act.

'But ... he had both his hands in the helmet I've ripped down and he's held onto my helmet … through the gap.'

The incident was brought up at the trial in reference to its inclusion in an Apprehended Violence Order taken out by Titus Day some years ago when Sebastian had reported allegations of embezzlement to police.

Sebastian said Day 'was trying to weaponise' the incident by including it in his AVO.

The trial heard on Tuesday that Sebastian allegedly received only half his $500,000 fee for supporting superstar Taylor Swift and missed out on $100,000 for gigs at Hamilton Island and Cancun, Mexico.

Sebastian said that he was unaware until after his acrimonious split with long-time manager that he was due to be paid twice what he actually received for various performances.

The case against Day was also told that purchases of particular share market stock shares totalling $578,000 had been made without his authorisation or knowledge.

The breakdown of about $900,000 in royalties and fees which were allegedly not passed on to Day's former client, Sebastian, was heard along with details of a final acrimonious lunch between the onetime friends.

At that meeting in early December 2017, Day allegedly asserted that he was entitled to still be paid commissions - called 'trailing commissions' - for Sebastian's appearances until 2022.

Accompanied to the restaurant by his best friend 'Timbo', Sebastian said he was happy to pay commission for any gig Day had organised, but that Day asserted  the singer had obligations to him for years into the future.

'I said we don't just make it up, you know there's no trailing commissions, but ... Titus got quite angry.

'The meeting took a turn. He said 'you're going to be paying commission until 2022'.'

Day has pleaded not guilty to 50 charges of embezzlement as a clerk or servant.

Under evidence in chief to crown prosecutor David Morters SC, Sebastian was asked about payments made to him in 2013 for being the support act at four stadium shows in Australia on Taylor Swift's 2013 Red Tour.

The trial has earlier heard that Sebastian was paid $494,360 as the support act to Taylor Swift in 2013.

Asked whether he received any payment other than $247,500 deposited into his Guytunes bank account on December 23, 2013, Sebastian replied 'there was no payment'.

Asked about performances on Hamilton Island in September 2017 hosted by Telstra, Sebastian said he was due four payments of $33,000 each, but that Day's 6 Degrees management
