A brewery tycoon has escaped a road ban for speeding after arguing that a letter from the police must have got lost in the post when it was sent to his luxury manor house.
Ajmail Dusanj, 55, one of the richest Asian people in the UK faced disqualification under the totting-up procedure when he failed to return documentation saying he was the driver of a Land Rover caught doing 40mph in a 30mph in south Liverpool.
But the entrepreneur, who bought the world-famous Cains Brewery Village in Liverpool in 2002 with his brother Sudarghara, claimed that no letter had arrived at his secluded property on a millionaires row near Kidderminster, Worcestershire.
He said he only learned of the speeding offence when a letter arrived at his property in Iverley near the village
