Detectives have released CCTV footage of three potential witnesses after a Polish woman was stabbed to death in London just after midnight on Tuesday.

Polish national Ania Jedrkowiak, 21, was found with stab wounds in Roberts Alley off Church Gardens, South Ealing, yesterday morning. She was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts of emergency services.

The three men were walking or travelling on e-scooters in the area around the time of the incident, and officers are keen to identify them to find out if they saw or heard anything that could help with their investigation.

The men are asked to call the incident room on 0208 721 4215 if they see the appeal, with the Met assuring that 'they are of interest only as witnesses to this serious offence'.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody at a west London police station but he has since been released with no further action.

A 29-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of murder on 17 May and he has been taken into custody where he remains.

A murder investigation was launched which is being conducted by homicide detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command.

The homicide detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command are conducting the murder investigation. Officers are speaking with Ania's next of kin and they are being supported by specialist officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, who is leading the investigation, said: 'We have now made a second arrest, which we believe is a very significant one in this investigation. The victim and suspect were known to each other.

'We are examining CCTV and speaking to any witnesses who have come forward.

'However, we are always keen to hear from anyone else who has not yet spoken to us but who thinks they may have seen or heard anything, no matter how small, that could help.
