Twitter trolls have used Scott Morrison accidentally bowling over a child during a soccer match as an excuse to have a go at him, despite the little boy being unhurt and laughing about the 'bulldozing'.

Mr Morrison was visiting the Devonport Strikers Soccer Club on Wednesday, which is in the electorate of Braddon in Tasmania

Just days ago the PM frankly admitted that he's a 'bit of a bulldozer'.

The Prime Minister joked, 'I'm surprised he hasn't been taken to hospital.'

The little boy, who was 'bulldozed' by Morrison appeared on Today along with his grandmother Joy to discuss the tackle, with the boy telling the co-hosts he was 'good'

'So we were playing soccer and I think someone tried to pass it to me or Mr Morrison and what happened (was) he tripped and he was trying not to fall on top of me,' Luca said on-air.
