Scott Morrison's odds to win Saturday's federal election have risen significantly as punters panic on the legitimacy of Labor.
The Coalition blew out to $3 to win the election earlier this month as the residue of a series of bushfire and pandemic gaffes set in for Mr Morrison, with Anthony Albanese as short as a $1.25 favourite to win.
His popularity among bettors has plummeted as the campaign trail trudges on, with the Opposition Leader now blowing out to $1.52 to win the election, the highest price in a month just two days out from the vote.
'The final week of the election campaign has certainly been our busiest in terms of turnover, and up until yesterday it was one way traffic for the Coalition,' Sportsbet's Sean Ormerod told Daily Mail Australia.
'But as soon as Labor hit the $1.50 mark we saw an influx of turnover on them and they won the weight of money battle for the first time in a long time.'
Scott Morrison's odds to win Saturday's election have come in from beyond $3 to now sit at $2.65 as the PM mounts a late surge
Labor's odds have been a relative rollercoaster since the two parties sat even at $1.88 at the beginning of 2020.
By February 2021, Mr Morrison fell to the lowest price of his Prime Ministership, a $1.35 favourite to win the next election after Australia navigated the pandemic better than most
