Shots were fired Thursday night at East Kentwood High School during a commencement ceremony for the district's alternative school, Crossroads. The suspects immediately fled the scene and remain at large. At least one person was struck in the gunfire. Their condition is unknown. The Kent County Sheriff’s Office's said 60 students and their families were involved in Thursday night's graduation ceremony. Attendees were able to leave immediately after the shooting. The shooting comes just one day after shots were fired following a high school graduation in Tennessee, leaving one teen dead and another injured.
